There is a misconception among some that the Apostle Paul lied and basically taught others that it is okay to lie at Romans 3:7.
So some may actually be thinking it's okay to bend the truth to accomplish their goals.
Others though may think he said this and quit trusting Paul since they think he is a liar.
Anyway, this is just another misconception, he never taught to lie, but actually said those who practice those things have well deserving condemnation.
Romans 3:7 "But if through my lie the truth of Elohim abounds to his glory, why am I still being condemned as a sinner? And why not do evil that good may come?—As some people slanderously charge us with saying. Their condemnation is righteous"
If you read in context, and also notice what he says afterwards, then you will never have this misconception.
He said the people who say that are slanderers, and that their condemnation is righteous.
