2 Timothy 2:15 "Do your best to present yourself to Elohim as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of Truth"
2 Peter 3:15 "Which they that are unlearned and unstable twist as they do also the other scriptures to their own destruction. You therefore beloved seeing you know these things before hand, beware for fear you also are led away with the error of the lawless and fall from your own steadfastness"
This page is a database of misconceptions that are common today.
I address the misconceptions, and then offer solutions to them.
There are quite a few misconceptions today that are used to help blind and prevent people from being obedient to YHWH and his Messiah Yahushua.
People repeatedly make claims that are not actually scriptural, and actually originate from thoughts and traditions of men, and they try to use these things as an excuse to ignore what YHWH has told them to do.
The thing is, a lot of these claims being made, the people actually believe what they're saying is in the Bible, and they've just been misguided and their lack of actions such as not repenting fully and properly and reading as they should, causes them to not be able to see things in context.
The modern denominations are built upon false teachings, so, expect to encounter quite a few of them, and even flat out lies, all the way up until the end of this modern wicked world.
Covering this topic can help people learning about YHWH and the Bible by opening their eyes to the context of certain areas, and also keep them safe from snares, not being mislead by false teachings that sound like they could make perfect sense to those unlearned in the scriptures.
Being aware of these misconceptions help prepare us for various attacks from others who are wrestling against the ways of truth and working to prevent you from following and sharing it.
When we are familiar with the common misconceptions it helps us share about the scriptures to others when we are trying to bring them to YHWH and repentance, since you won't have to get distracted from being caught off guard from something you've never heard before.
Read over what is shared here, and test it for yourself against the scriptures and word of YHWH.
You will see that the actual words in the Bible easily dispel thousands of false teachings that are being passed around in the world like an infectious plague, so make time and focus on gaining the knowledge of the Bible to gain immunity to that deadly plague of misinformation.
Due to the length of this project, know that you can make use of the "find function" in your web browser to get the most benefit here and find specific matters that you are seeking information on.
For example, you see me tell you that the Law is to be kept by all people, but you recall something that you've heard before that seems to support Law breaking, press Ctrl+F(The Ctrl key and the F key at the same time) to open the search/find function, and then try to type in keywords to find that specific matter you want information on.
For example you could type in "Romans 3" or "works of the law" to navigate to information on the misconception over Romans 3:20, or type in "Acts 10" to be able to jump to the misconception on Acts chapter 10 without struggling to locate it on the page.
So while I want you to search for specifics, I also encourage you to just explore all of the misconceptions that you're able to in addition to the ones you currently need, since you may find something you needed but didn't even know you needed, and that need may even come sometime in the future and you would be able to recall that information.
I will work to add simple quick answers at the beginning of the misconceptions, so that you don't have to wait for any amount of time to get an idea of how to solve the confusion.
Though if there is more written, try not to skip it or else you may not understand how that quick answer is true, and I want you to know, and believe for yourself, not just take my word for it.
On previous versions of this website, there were a number of misconception sections spread around on the website, it wasn't always easy to locate something you may have needed so I have been consolidating them onto this single section.
Also to solve other issues and the cluttered feel a large project can create, I've modified the misconceptions to have their own page.
The other pages that make mentions of relating misconceptions can now just link to that misconceptions page, removing the need to have the same information appearing in multiple spots.
Clicking on a link on this page will open the misconception page in a new tab, then once you go over it, you can just close the tab.
Among false teachings, there are those that are most common to be brought up, and that are used as foundation stones for modern denominations.
These are the roots of a large amount of their false sayings, so, if you dispel them 1st you can save a lot of trouble.
This is why I will share some of the most common objections and misconceptions 1st, since if the the foundation stones fail, then the structure that they're supporting collapses.
In other words, if you realize a root teaching is false, and all of the other teachings within a denomination have to branch off of that one root teaching, you quickly realize you've been lied to, and the faults of those doctrines are exposed.
It's much quicker to just remove that root, than spend many tiring hours removing the individual branches 1 at a time.
So I will try to place some of those roots 1st, and then address the specific branches too on down the list.
1. False claim: "The Law was only for Yisrael!"
People are claiming that the instructions of YHWH our Father in the heavens were for the children of Yisrael only to obey.
This is a false teaching.
I will address this misconception, and even look at the root that sprouts these sorts of lies.
Follow the link for the full information with points, it will open in a new tab;
2. False claim: "That's the OLD covenant!"
Next common objection, people say something like,
"that's the old covenant!", when you talk about obeying
the law of YHWH today.
They're implying that the commandments are part of an "old" covenant and all of that was abolished and you're ignorant if you would try to keep them today.
Here is the link to the page, it will open in a new tab;
3. False claim: "There are only 10 Commandments"
Another common objection, Some will say something like there are only 10 commandments, or that we only have to worry about 10 commandments.
However the Bible does not teach such things at all, and never says anything like we have to obey only 10 of the commandments given from YHWH.
The modern world has altered the significance of the stone tablets, and have begun teaching them to be something they're not.
They were a testimony.
For the rest of the information on this point, here is the link, it will open in a new tab;
4. False claim: "Now all we have to do is love, not have anything to do with the father's commandments!"
This is another very common objection, modern Christianity especially is known for pushing this teaching in 1 way or another.
However those teaching this is missing the point of the scriptures they're using to support the false claims.
Love is indeed the most important thing for us to practice, however, modern teachers out there have begun teaching their listeners something like all that we have to do is love YHWH our Elohim and love our neighbor, in whatever way the individual wants to define "love", and do nothing more.
Great error does come when you do not define love as the bible define it, which leaves "love" up to their own personal interpretation of love, which can vary greatly in people, for example some wicked people can convince themselves and others that killing someone is an act of love in some instances, like a newborn baby being born with a handicap. Though that would be great sin and evil according to YHWH.
As well doing such would show how little faith you actually have in YHWH.
The truth is you need the instructions given from YHWH to know and understand fully how to perform the love mentioned in the scriptures.
There is a great misunderstanding of what the Messiah and others have said, modern English translations may help promote this in some cases.
Here is the link to the rest of the information, it will open in a new tab;
5. False claim: "Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs!"
Yet another common objection that you're going to encounter in this world: "beliefs".
Some more examples of their sayings;
"You're entitled to your own beliefs",
"Well, those are YOUR personal beliefs",
"you have your beliefs, and I have my beliefs",
"respect the beliefs of others",
beliefs, beliefs, beliefs...
This is a common tactic that gets used regularly from modern groups that are not in line with the Truth of YHWH.
They may get to a point where they use this tactic to try and ignore all the truth and scriptures you may share to them, or when they run out of things to say, and they hide behind it to keep them from having to change and/or admit they are in any kind of error.
This tactic is what you call a cop-out.
When this is used, they're implying that we can not know right from wrong, when we can.
The world may want us to believe such and remain filthy and corrupt, but this is far from the truth.
This will be updated further.
6. False claim: "Don't judge me!"
Another common defense that is spit out quickly in response to one suggesting another is not doing what they should be doing, is they start claiming to be a victim of unrighteous judgment, and that you basically are not allowed to correct them or anyone at all.
This false teaching is obvious nonsense to anyone who has read the scriptures.
I have given this topic it's own page on tab 6, here is the quick link;
7. False claim: "Grace does away with the Law!"
Men are throwing the word "grace" around as if it's an excuse to get away with ignoring the scriptures and the words of YHWH, and the words of Yahushua.
Such false teachings are contradictory confusion.

Note: Due to choice of words by some translations, Romans 10:4 also may be linked to a misconception with Matthew 5:17.

Deuteronomy 31:6 • Joshua 1:5 • Hebrews 13:5
"God will never leave you or forsake you!" Misconceptions.
Vain tactic: "And, God can not lie!"
Another trick being used by the disobedient to support their wicked life and confuse others into being comfortable in their disobedience.
Note: This tactic is even often paired with the misconception above of "God will never leave you or forsake you!".

False teaching: "Everyone will go to heaven!"
Adulteress and "Cast the 1st stone" misconceptions.
Faulty idea: "This person prospers, grows, and has good things in life, therefore they must be good and righteous!"

Misunderstanding of the vision of Peter about all manner of unclean creatures.
Matthew 15:10 • Mark 7:15

"Whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him"
Also, false translation and false teaching that he "declared all foods clean".
Misconception that a minor sin is just as bad as a major sin.
False teaching: "All that you need is faith!"
Misconception that all you need is faith, and you don't need to do anything else.
In other words, they're saying you are saved by faith, not saved by works, therefore everyone can do whatever they want even if it goes against YHWH's commandments as long as they do it all while claiming with their mouth to have "faith".
This misconception is related to a few others such as Romans 3:20.
Misconception that YHWH's love is unconditional
There is a misconception that the love of YHWH our Elohim is totally unconditional.
Misconception: "Everyone's righteousness is as filthy rags"
There is a common teaching spread around in modern Christianity where they teach that our righteousness is as filthy rags.
Tags: Isaiah 64:6,
There are a few misconceptions from this passage, some men are claiming that the few commandments named here are the only commandments that we have to obey.
Also, they're saying it's part of "the law for Christians", though they're completely making this up because it's not something that comes from the Bible, and Christians do not have a new or separate law, there is only 1 law for all of mankind.
Misconception: "You're sinning if you don't sacrifice animals"
There are some people who claim today that we are sinning since we are not keeping the commandments that have to do with sacrifices, and they use this as an attack to try and justify them not keeping any commandments.
Misconception: "Law keepers are just like the Pharisees!"
Many, including myself, are incorrectly accused of being just like the pharisees from the New Testament.
The false claim is that Law Keepers are like the Pharisees.
This usually comes in response to trying to convince people that the Law was never abolished.
Misconception over "straining out a gnat"
There is a misconception about "straining out a gnat", and people misuse these words.

Misconception: "The Law is not spiritual!"
Some may claim something like the Law is not spiritual, and also teach you won't have the holy spirit if you keep the Law.
There is a misconception that the Messiah changed the Law to where the only thing we have to do now is observe do unto others as we would have them to do unto us.
Note: This is somewhat related to the common objection that all we have to do now is "love".
Tags: do unto others, this is the law and the prophets,
False teaching that YHWH can only keep 1 covenant at a time.
False Teaching: "Ceremonial Law"Some are falsely teaching that part of the Law is done away with, and the part they're claiming is done away with, they call the "ceremonial laws".
Misconception that the Messiah broke the Commandments
There is a misconception and false teaching that the Messiah broke the commandments of his Father.
Misconception over the sin of Onan at Genesis 38:9.
People misunderstand and think it's sin to waste a man's seed.
This misconception is sexual related, so I will not say anymore here, so that people do not have to read it unless it is relevant to them and will not offend them.
Misconceptions from the Apostle Paul
I have tried to group together all the misconceptions coming from the letters of Paul.
I am going to go through every letter of Paul, attempting to find every area that breeds misconceptions, and place them in order of appearance.
I will also work at linking the similar misconceptions.
Letters of Paul in Biblical order;
There are multiple misconceptions out there for me to address, and this may make it look like it is indeed very hard to understand Paul, but it's important to understand that when you read the Bible and gain the knowledge of it, and your mind is set in context/in-line with Biblical things, and your heart is circumcised and able to be influenced by the Father, then you can very much easier understand Paul, since he's not speaking a "foreign language", or a language you think you understand but actually is a different language and you miss the context.
(I am saying language here figuratively, not literally the language being used.)
The majority of people are not really putting in time to study and are too quickly following the mainstream shepherds who teach doctrines of lawlessness, and bring people into keeping the satan's ways.
I knew early on that I needed to create this project if I wanted to help others wake up easier.
It is not always an easy project since it can take some explanation instead of a very quick 1 or 2 sentence answer, and to those arrogant and confident in their false teachers, and trying to stay set in their ways, they usually are not willing to listen and examine all of the points anyone shares, they close their ears and just wait for you to stop talking so they can reply,
(reply to what they didn't even listen to), listening with the intent to reply and not to understand.
Paul's writings are not the easiest to understand because we can't always have the exact context right away since his writings are letters to certain people, and it's like reading an E-mail from the middle of a conversation between 2 foreign people when they have sent more than just that 1 back and forth, so areas like that can cause issues.
Also translations are using wrong words and/or "harsh" wording which promote more the false assumptions.
Paul also writes in a way that is harder to understand, and translators appear to be confused and translate his words in ways that may not be true to what was really said.
For these reasons, for trying to show someone the Bible tells us to obey the entire Law still, it may be easier to convince someone how YHWH and the Messiah, and everything in the Bible clearly tells us to keep it and that whoever says otherwise is false, then after that Paul's writings will stand out as odd to them who do not understand them very much yet, and people start to question if he is a wolf or false teacher.
Now when you come from that angle, you are then willing to see the full information and points to prove that he is indeed in line with YHWH and his Messiah, and that Paul is telling us to keep the Law and not saying to disobey it in those unclear areas.
It's not possible to choose our perfect ideal scenarios though, so we must be prepared for all perspectives.
Here is a reminder once again before you get to the misconceptions from Paul;
2 Peter 3:15 "Even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him has written to you, as also in all of his letters, speaking in them of these things which are some hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable twist as they do also the other scriptures to their own destruction. You therefore beloved seeing you know these things before hand, beware for fear you also are led away with the error of the lawless and fall from your own steadfastness"
1 Corinthians 1:10 "I appeal to you brothers, by the name of our Lord Yahushua the Messiah, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. For it has been reported to me by Chloe’s people that there is quarreling among you my brothers. What I mean is that each one of you says, I follow Paul, or I follow Apollos, or I follow Peter, or I follow Messiah. Is Messiah divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?"
This is a work in progress, I don't have all of the areas up, and the areas I do have up are being worked on and may not be complete yet but just have some information I am trying to get going and will clean it up over time and get to the point better.
Going over these misconceptions like this may be hard and confusing in itself, and a bit redundant as I have to repeat the same things, so let me remind you, it is easy to just read in full and context to see all of what I am trying to say to convince the lawless people, and getting that context and true points is not as difficult as this page may cause it to appear.
Misconception that Paul lied and even taught others that it is okay to lie.
False teachers may quote Paul at Romans 3:10 and say that none are righteous.

"Messiah is the end of the law for righteousness"
Note: This may also be linked to Matthew 5:17 misconceptions.
"Obey the laws of the land"

I will address common misconceptions and false teachings on this page that I haven't found a place for on other pages, just to have all the misconceptions in 1 place.
Not even dealing with the topic of the Law, you will still often come across something being spread that simply isn't true, or entirely true.
I like to make a note of these to make others aware, and write a simple response to them to help people from being misled by these misconceptions.
Every small amount of confusion we can dispel, brings us closer to uniting all people in the Truth and not being lost in countless sayings and denominations.
My Misconception pages will be cleaned up and more organized when I near the completion of this website.
Remember to use the Ctrl+F tool if you want to find a specific subject.
This page is being worked on quickly, and I will go back over and add scriptures in. I have rushed it so I can take the password off of the page and allow people to visit this section, so expect me to update this and fill it in soon.
Misconception; Man's ribs.
Slavery False teachings and misconceptions
False guidance; "Don't feel bad for your mistakes"
Misconception; "Avoid an open mind"
Another confused teaching I've seen spread is having an "open mind" is a bad thing.
If someone tells you to not have an open mind, then they're likely saying stop thinking and using your brain, and just mindlessly do what they want you to do.
Doing something like that is how you get pulled down to hell by the satan.
A great issue for mankind is they don't open their mind and think as much as they should, but instead pursue vanities and amusements.
Having an open mind is a good quality, it comes natural for younger children until they are taught to discard it, and is on the rarer side in modern humans.
A truly open mind receives all knowledge, and therefore can test it against other knowledge, and they will improve overall in their knowledge and eventually find truth as long as they keep taking steps on their path, and don't become wearied and sit down somewhere, settling for where they're currently at in understanding.
An open mind is not so good if the person is not seeking truth, and has no interest in obeying the truth, though the people who fit into this group may not truly be what is commonly referred to as an "open minded" person, and just have a satanist and hedonism attitude where they're not really open minded but appear to be, as they are willing to do anything and go anywhere with their mind and body for thrills.
It is also common that people with an open mind learn and gain knowledge, and then the more they learn, the more their mind shuts becoming a "closed mind" and is unable to keep progressing at the same rate and may halt, which is not good since likely their knowledge was not at the point yet of the true goal of perfect knowledge.
This can be caused by pride, and thinking "you have arrived".
But if you're a human, then you shouldn't ever be prideful or think "you have arrived".
It is a closed mind that is a bad quality and it has to do with pride, arrogance, laziness, unwilling to learn or submit to anything other than it's own way, selfish.
The point of this misconception being gone over is to remind people to think and use your wonderful mind, instead of listening to others when they try to tell you not to think and to continue following their wicked and sinful traditions.
Finally, don't go out trying to judge who has an open mind and closed mind, since it isn't so easy to do such, and it will likely cause you to stumble, and take the wrong approach in your actions with other people and in your thoughts.
Confused teaching; "Being childish is bad!"
A common misconception is that a person being childish is a bad thing!
People are erroneously calling horrible things such as lying, selfishness, pride, etc.. "childish", when these bad qualities have nothing to do with children and the heart of a child, and shouldn't have anything to do with children.
Do not continue to use this saying of "you're childish!" when someone is doing something bad. Rather get your facts straight, and know what is good and what is bad.
We should strive to be more childish.
The Bible makes it clear that being childish is a great thing.
While children don't know much yet and must be taught, which causes them to make mistakes until they're taught better, their qualities when raised properly by the Words of YHWH and disciplined as they should be, are, they are absolutely full of love and love unconditionally, they are not prideful, they are perfectly willing to obey YHWH without questioning anything he says, and they love him and carry fear for him.
Their sweetness and innocence is one of the most beautiful things we can observe in this wicked world, and the positive qualities go on.
Their are bad kids, and they're taught to be that way. Don't teach them to be bad.
Children are indeed becoming less child like, and are being taught wickedness, and then wicked people are teaching to not discipline children which is resulting in disaster.
Beware of the satan and his teachings that lead humans into wickedness.
Matthew 18:1 "At the same time came the disciples to Yahushua, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of the heavens? And Yahushua called a little child to him and set him in the middle of them, And said, Truly I say to you, Except you be converted and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of the heavens. Whoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of the heavens. And whoever shall receive one such little child in my name receives me. But whoever shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea"
Misconceptions on alcohol consumption.
Inside of modern Christianity there are many people who teach that alcohol consumption is a sin and must be avoided.
Alcohol consumption is not a sin, there is not a commandment saying do not consume alcohol.
Though just because you can do something, doesn't always mean you should.
And also, things that are not sins in themselves, can be used in ways that are sin and sinful.
So while those certain groups are wrong in causing others to think it's a sin, they're not entirely wrong for teaching others to avoid it, they only need to clean up their facts, and, the bible does teach us it is wise to stay away from strong drink.
It is in your best interest to avoid modern alcohol for health and safety reasons. Every day many lives are ruined due to alcohol use, and hopefully you can agree that good comes from it's avoidance.
Modern alcohols are heavily acidifying on the body, this leeches nutrients from your entire body, bringing down every cell, and this unhealthy environment is perfect for cancers and infections to thrive in.
If you want to drink alcohol then consume a more natural version, and use the ones with the absolute lowest alcohol content. These low alcohol content versions have a significantly different effect in a person compared to the alcohol drinks that are almost pure alcohol.
A common response from alcohol drinkers that are offended by someone saying they should avoid alcohol abuse is they mention many men in the Bible drank alcohol. Which is true, but there is an important detail to realize that can change how you think of the wine in the bible.
Naturally made wine in the past had a much lower alcohol content, and was closer to drinking grape juice than our modern drinks being made and sold.
Now there were surely men in ancient times working to create the strongest drinks, but history seems to support the simple and natural version was most common, and this low alcohol content wine was a way to preserve that juice and even used in place of water to keep cities alive in droughts.
A low alcohol content drink makes it impossible for you to reach the same levels of impairedness as the strong liquors, since you would have to drink so much liquid to get the same effect, and probably is impossible since your body could keep up with filtering the toxins out of your system, where as in strong drinks your body does not filter it fast enough which is what brings on the effects.
(Keep in mind you get drunk because you're being poisoned. If your body did not vomit after it reached a certain point of alcohol poisoning, it would die. This stuff doesn't sound very fun to me, so I am not so sure why it's so popular these days.)
I will now mention why modern alcohol is not the same as ancient alcohol. The main answer is, strong alcohol is in demand, and it's easily created with modern knowledge and techniques.
Wine today for example is not being naturally fermented, but unnaturally fermented.
Grapes have naturally occurring fungus(yeast) on their skins, and if you mash grapes up and let the juice sit, that fungus will consume sugars and create small amounts of alcohol, and this is all people in the past did to create their wine. It was flavorful, was an excellent method to preserve their grapes, would lift the spirit some, and basically had plenty of nutrients contained still in the drink.
Today wine is being created with nasty additives that cause heavy fermentation and alcohol production. Toxic refined sugar is being dumped into grape juice along with large amounts of fungus(yeast) that makes large amounts of alcohol as it consumes the added sugars. This is nothing like the natural wine, and you should not think of the two as the same thing. Think of modern wine as a laboratory concoction with grape juice added in to make it grape flavored.
So don't think you're getting a natural wine if you buy it from someone who made it home made, they have likely used the above mentioned method of adding in things and then letting it sit in a container for a period of time, and people are forgetting the natural and proper ways to do things.
It is not right to attack of demonize a person because they may be having an alcoholic drink, though it is different if say the person is a drunkard and does bad things constantly. That is sin, and it is very selfish of the people who continually do this and harming others. The sin isn't in the alcohol, but what they're doing under the influence, such as not loving their neighbor.
Becoming intoxicated greatly increases the chance of you sinning, as you're out of your sound mind, and for most people, even their sound mind is hard to trust to do the right thing always.
Alcohol can be very addictive, so it's important to keep it from children and during that time teach them the dangers and drawbacks of alcohol consumption, though if you tell them these things and they still see you drinking it, your actions will be speaking much louder than the words from your mouth, so if you love your kids and want to keep them from alcohol use, it's best for you to remove it from your house and life, and set the example.
Alcohol abuse is a serious problem that people struggle with, do not forsake these people, they obviously need your help.
So many people hate what they're doing but can not figure out how to regain control of their body.
Love them as yourself, and while most may show disgust for these people, they're likely doing the same thing and not realizing, just not with alcohol.
For example, a person who can't stop eating junk food and makes themselves fat, they're suffering from the exact same lack of control, and they should be able to relate to this "disease".
I may not post every related, but I will work on this over time.
Leviticus 10:8 "And the YHWH spoke to Aaron saying, Do not drink wine nor strong drink, you, nor your sons with you, when you go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest you die. It shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations, And that you may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean, And that you may teach the children of Yisrael all the statutes which YHWH has spoken to them by the hand of Moses"
This is heavily practiced today, females beware especially.
Habakkuk 2:15 "Woe to him that gives his neighbor drink, that put your bottle to him, and make him drunken also, that you may look on their nakedness!"
Isaiah 5:22 "Woe to them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink"
Proverbs 20:1 "Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise"
Proverbs 23:19 "Hear you, my son, and be wise, and guide your heart in the way. Be not among drunkards or among gluttonous eaters of meat, for the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and slumber will clothe them with rags"
Proverbs 23:29 "Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has strife? Who has complaining? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes? Those who tarry long over wine; those who go to try mixed wine.Do not look at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup and goes down smoothly. In the end it bites like a serpent and stings like an adder"
Proverbs 23:33 "Your eyes shall behold strange women, and your heart shall utter perverse things.Yes, you shall be as he that lies down in the middle of the sea, or as he that lies on the top of a mast. They have stricken me, shall you say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again"
Proverbs 31:4 "It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine, or for rulers to take strong drink, for fear they drink and forget what has been decreed and pervert the rights of all the afflicted"
Just to mention, this is not a commandment from our creator, for those who have not read in full and know where he is talking and commanding, and where wisdom from others is being shared;
Proverbs 31:6 "Give strong drink to the one who is perishing, and wine to those in bitter distress, let them drink and forget their poverty and remember their misery no more"
Ephesians 5:15 "Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit"
(Side note in-case you don't know and don't take the time to look it up,
definition of debauchery: excessive indulgence in sensual pleasures; intemperance.)
Misconception; The flesh is evil and bad, and we are meant to be creatures of spirit, no physical, only spiritual energy.
This is a misconception that I will add later, I am just putting this down and a few statements to hold the place and will develop it when I get the time.
To those who say this, who told you that?
YHWH created man as a physical being.
Man was not spirit before sin, he was flesh even then.
Our physical body is actually a part of who we are, even from a psychological viewpoint.
If you had someone else's body, you wouldn't be you, but you would be in a totally different mindset.
The flesh itself isn't bad, though the urges in the flesh can be bad for us if we allow them to, these urges are there from part of YHWH's design, and we have control over them, that is if we exercise righteousness and control.
Serving the flesh, and looking only to fleshly desires, is bad.
"The world", that is the modern wicked world, is focus all on the flesh, and it is selling flesh, and teaching flesh, and serving flesh.
It is full of negative things dealing with the flesh, but this does not mean the flesh itself has to be rotten and bad. Sin is what's bad and corrupting of the flesh.
There is a balance between flesh and spirit, physical and mental. If you do not keep the balance, you will not be as good in either as you could be.
So many people today totally ignore what they call "physical", and totally focus on their mind and thoughts, reading books and challenging their mind.
Though the mind is actually a physical thing, and when you neglect your body, you're actually bringing your mind and thoughts down, creating barriers.
Yes, a person who is well trained in their mind will do better than someone who is not, generally, though they have handicapped themselves and are held back from an even higher potential.
A visibly degenerating outer body, is exactly what is happening on the inside of the body, and the part of your body that deals with your thoughts is a part of that physical body.
Also if you focus so much on the physical, and neglect the mind and thoughts, what is in your spirit, you will tend to behave more fleshly, like an animal with poor self control, which can be seen in many body builders who lose themselves in their flesh, and their value is tied up into moving weights around, and that shallow activity defines them, and they can't see beyond it very far.
They are greatly tempted to have their thoughts locked on fleshly vanities that brings them to ruin and keeps them behaving in ways that is not good.
Realize this, if you neglect your body, and your body gets in pain and severe sickness, that directly influences your mental and spiritual state.
It is far easier for you to carry a holy spirit in you, and do good, and think good, when your body is functioning as YHWH intended and is healthy and full of joy and energy.
Someone who has a chronic severe pain, to where they sometimes wish they would just die to get rid of the pain, will be much more likely to snap at people, and say bad things, and sin. These kind of actions take a person far out of the holy spirit if they take part in them.
Man is flesh, and spirit.
Flesh and physical creations are the main beauty of YHWH's creation.
I am not saying the heart and spirit in man is not beautiful, as it is so very beautiful, especially when it's pure, righteous, good, innocent.
Though I am trying to remind everyone, do we think that YHWH made the world and all of the beauty in it and it's worthless? And not worthy of praising YHWH over?
People are teaching the entire physical world is trash, but it is priceless art and genius, that no man could ever come close to recreating.
This teaching is very popular in heathen ideas and teachings to want to discard your body and flesh, and become a being of pure energy.
Avoid such philosophies that attempt to seduce your thoughts and good judgment. If you allow them, they will blind you and try to cause you to see everything in a twisted view.
Many of these also put great value on drugs like marijuana, which is known to cause drug induced brain damage, and hormonal side effects for the negative.
(Which by the way, they often say, YHWH created this plant so it's good, while totally ignoring the fact that YHWH created many things that are not good for humans. For example, there are many foods out there that are simply not human food, but is perfect food for something else.
Also, there are many poisonous things out there, but this does not mean humans are supposed to consume them, YHWH gave us intelligence, and we should use it and not accept blinding ideas.)
These dark teachings claim spirituality, but in reality they're focused on the flesh.
Yes, though to those who fall for these teachings don't see it yet, the flesh is what makes this appealing to people, and these people are worshiping feelings, and what feels good in their flesh.
Some people are a bit confused about what today is referred to as "ghosts".
In the bible, it does not say that the spirits of men are going to be free to travel the earth, and communicate with us, and mess with people as they please.
Various scriptures, especially those left out of the modern bible such as Enoch, indicate once our avatars die, that is our bodies, then the spirit is in a place waiting for the great judgment.
The bible does however show us some people can be a medium through a certain method, and it refers to this as "familiar spirits", which I can not give you the details on how this works yet, but I will show you an example from the scriptures;
1 Samuel 28:3 "Now Samuel was dead, and all Yisrael had lamented him and buried him in Ramah, in his own city. And Shaul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land, And the Philistines gathered themselves together and came and pitched in Shunem, and Shaul gathered all Yisrael together and they pitched in Gilboa, And when Shaul saw the host of the Philistines he was afraid and his heart greatly trembled, And when Shaul inquired of YHWH, YHWH did not answer him, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets, Then said Shaul to his servants, Seek me a woman that has a familiar spirit, that I may go to her and inquire of her, And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that has a familiar spirit at Endor, And Shaul disguised himself and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night, and he said, I pray you divine to me by the familiar spirit and bring me him up whom I shall name to you, And the woman said to him, Behold, you know what Shaul has done, how he has cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land, why then lay you a snare for my life to cause me to die?
And Shaul swore to her by YHWH, saying, As YHWH lives, there shall no punishment happen to you for this thing, Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up to you? And he said, Bring me up Samuel, And when the woman saw Samuel she cried with a loud voice, and the woman spoke to Shaul saying, Why have you deceived me? for you are Shaul, And the king said to her, Be not afraid, for what saw you? And the woman said to Shaul, I saw elohims ascending out of the earth, And he said to her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man comes up and he is covered with a mantle, And Shaul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself.
And Samuel said to Shaul, Why have you disquieted me, to bring me up? And Shaul answered, I am sore distressed, for the Philistines make war against me, and Elohim is departed from me and answers me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams, therefore I have called you that you may make known to me what I shall do, Then said Samuel, Why then do you ask of me seeing YHWH is departed from you and is become your enemy? And YHWH has done to him as he spoke by me, for YHWH has rent the kingdom out of your hand and given it to your neighbor, to David, Because you obeyed not the voice of YHWH, nor executed his fierce wrath on Amalek, therefore has YHWH done this thing to you this day, Moreover YHWH will also deliver Yisrael with you into the hand of the Philistines, and tomorrow shall you and your sons be with me, YHWH also shall deliver the host of Yisrael into the hand of the Philistines"
If we hear people we know talking to us or see what we think are "ghosts", then it is most likely our imagination.
If you know of people who try to prove ghosts, they show to want it to be true so much they start attributing everything to "ghosts", and then acting like they've had a legit experience.
Also, if you watch tv shows like this, please remember tv is highly fake, and the point of it is to get viewers and give you a show.
Now if it's not the imagination, it can be from an unclean spirit, which does travel the earth.
When we believe in "ghosts" like some people do, we give these beings the chance to manipulate us and mislead us, so let's be familiar with the scriptures.
Some people today can have a "familiar spirit", but the large number of fakes out their trying to profit from such ideas, make these things harder to observe and study.
Do not try to communicate with the dead, and do not make the mistake of praying TO the dead, they are dead.
Leviticus 19:31 "Do not regard them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them, I am YHWH your Elohim"
This is often used to support 1 side that claims dead people are asleep and not in any form of consciousness until Resurrection, I thought am not convinced this verse alone can prove such, and can just be from our point of view towards the dead;
Ecclesiastes 9:5 "For the living know that they shall die, but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward, for the memory of them is forgotten"
Misconception on "cuss words", also called "curse words".
There is a misconception and false teaching being handed down in modern Christian society, that certain words that they have labeled "cuss words" are a sin to say.
It's not true. There is no such commandment in the bible naming these words and saying you are not allowed to say them.
It is unrighteous to condemn someone for saying for example "damn".
Depending on the translation, you can find damn used in the bible even, and also a water "dam" is the same pronunciation.
These are words, and they are words with meanings, and it's not a sin to speak words.
However words can indeed be used to sin with, so it is dependent on how you use words.
If you use a "cuss word" to attack someone verbally for no reason, then you're doing wrong, however that act of wrong has nothing to do with the "cuss word".
These words labeled "cuss words", while it's not right to condemn someone for using them in an okay way, society has still made them into being ugly words, and it's best to avoid them, or else you will cause yourself to appear more "ugly" to other typical people.
You will also repel a lot of people, so it's best to avoid these words so you can not cause others to stumble and you can more easily share knowledge with them.
I have seen people over reacting greatly and jumping all over a person for saying 1 silly word reasonably, yet says nothing if the person is actually doing a sin.
There is a simple misconception that fasting only means not eating food.
Biblically, fasting can also include not drinking water.
In Hebrew the word that is used means to cover your mouth.
If your mouth is covered then nothing goes into it.
Now if you want to fast by avoiding food only, then you can choose to do that as you will, and you can make up your mind to stay away from anything for a period.
Avoiding food and water both is a much different experience than just not eating.
If you shut up your mouth and not let food or water in then you're going to be afflicted by your fast much sooner and harder.
Jonah 3:5 "So the people of Nineveh believed Elohim and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. For word came to the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing, let them not feed, nor drink water"
Luke 5:33 "And they said to him, The disciples of John fast often and offer prayers, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours eat and drink”
Cut off from among the people
One of the judgments from YAH for breaking some commandments is that the person shall be cut off from his people.
There is a misunderstanding among some teachers and they say this means they are put to death, this is false.
Being cut off from among your people does not mean you are put to death, YAH clearly makes a distinction between the two if you actually read the Law.
You do not want to be put to death, but you also do not want to be cut off from being part of YAH's set apart people.
Length of Messiah's ministry
Misconception on the length of the Messiah's "ministry".
It is commonly taught as fact that his "ministry" lasted 3.5 years, however this is not found in the bible.
I will add to this later.
There is a misconception that Noah took 2 of each animal onto the ark, but he only took 2 of each unclean kind of animal, Noah took 7 of each clean kind of animal.
Misconception that Paul took the place of Judas
There is a false teaching among some that Paul took the place of Judas(his real name was Yahuda) as one of the 12 disciples.
However, Matthias took the spot of Judas, the Bible tells us this;
Acts 1:24 "And they prayed, and said, You, Lord, which know the hearts of all men, show whether of these two you have chosen, That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell on Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles"
I mention this on "Misunderstanding Paul" under the further information.
I will go over these misconceptions soon, there are a few misconceptions and false teachings about the birth of the Messiah, and most believes the scriptures say it.
For example they think there were 3 wise men, but that is not in the bible.
There is a misconception in modern Christianity that people teach where they say "Elohim does not hate".
I am not sure where they get this from since YHWH Elohim has said before that he hates things.
Though I imagine this is part of their doctrines to teach YHWH loves everyone and will not do anything bad to anyone no matter what they do, which is false, and YHWH turns on and rejects those who reject him and his instructions.
I remember the first time I read through the Tanakh and learned who YHWH really was, I was surprised at how fake modern Christianity has made Elohim, to the point it is like they are worshiping their own invented version of what they want the creator to be.
Specifically on "hate" though, Here is an example from the mouth of YHWH our Elohim spoken through Malachi;
Malachi 1:2 "I have loved you, says YHWH, Yet you say, 'Wherein have you loved us?'. Was not Esau Jacob's brother? says YHWH, yet I loved Jacob, And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the jackals of the wilderness"
Proverbs 6:16 "These six things YHWH hates, yea, seven that are an abomination to him, a proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers"
Psalm 11:5 "YHWH tests the righteous, but the wicked and him that loves violence his soul hates"
Further, I have a feeling most of the people that say this are actually talking about Yahushua since they're keeping doctrines of "holy trinity".
Even if they are speaking of the Messiah, they are still wrong in saying it, since nowhere does it say anything like the Messiah hates nothing, and I imagine him being like his Father, he hates the things his Father hates.
Here are words from Yahushua the Messiah;
Revelation 2:6 "Yet this you have, you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate"
So, while people are making these claims, the bible shows they do have the ability to hate, and if we understand hate correctly, we know it is not always an unrighteous emotion like it is made out to be by some.
It is very commonly taught that Moses wrote the 1st 5 books of the modern Bible we use.
However this is not scriptural, this statement is not found in the Bible.
There is 1 area that can make you wonder if it's an indirrect statement, but this instance I do not find sufficient to draw a conclusion from.
John 1:45 "whom Moses wrote of in the law", but while Moses indeed wrote laws, this doesn't mean he wrote the books we have that contain information about Moses.
While it may be possible, if we read the 1st 5 books then we can see that it appears to be unlikely that Moses wrote these books.
In addition to just seeming like someone is writing about Moses, the books detail his death which doesn't add up, and also there is an instance where it says "(now Moses was a very humble man)" at Numbers 12:3, which doesn't add up either.
So, the point of mentioning this is just to bring it to your attention, and also, Moses did not have to be the one to pen Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, this does not change their authenticity of being true scriptures.
Misconception that nothing in the Bible is literal.
This is frustrating to hear, and I imagine the Satan enjoys this misconception since many people are led astray by it, and when one believes it, they deform all of what is taught in the bible.
With this obvious lie, people are able to feel okay with avoiding whatever they want, as they just place their own personal interpretation on everything.
Update coming later.
Another misconception that has shown to be important to mention is lust and sin.
Lust and desire is not a sin in itself, however, lusting after certain things IS a sin.
For example, the Messiah said if you lust for a married woman then you are committing adultery with her in your heart which is obviously true, however if the woman is not married then you are not committing adultery in your heart because she is not taken.
(Though some may suggest, unmarried girls will belong to someone one day and it's best to not lust for them either unless they're going to be yours, and I agree this is good and healthy to practice, and suggest you not focus on the flesh and find a good mate and then become betrothed. This is just my suggestion, and consider how you want your future wife(even if you don't know her yet) to be being treated right now by other men, and if you don't want them doing certain things, don't do those things to other men's future wife.)
All relationships involve "lust" and indeed if there was no lust then people would have a serious problem trying to reproduce, and people may stop marrying altogether.
To easily show lust is not a sin, when a man takes the virginity of a girl, that is how the 2 become 1 and truly married, when a man gets with a virgin to lay with her the 1st time he has to desire her before he is even able to lay with her and make her his wife, so a man has to "lust" and desire physically in order to become married, and those moments before they become 1 flesh, she is not yet his wife.
The world also is going wild with their own personal teachings of lust and love that are not true, even though it is so strongly stated that they know what they're talking about, doesn't make it so.
So it's important to be aware of this, as they're adding confusion into facts and human psychology.
I have encountered a slight misunderstanding over "enemy", and I will just take a moment to remind others, just to refine some people's thoughts.
I once called someone my enemy, and it was taken that I was in the wrong and doing something wrong for saying this, since we are taught to love even our enemies.
The person took it to mean I was setting myself up as an attacker to that person, that I was the one hating towards my "enemy", but that was not the case.
The other person can control whether they are your enemy or not.
If someone hates you or sets their heart on doing wrong towards you then they are your enemy.
If some person attacks your town and is trying to kill you when you're innocent and don't deserve such treatment, that person is your enemy.
So in this context there is no wrong in stating a fact whether or not a person is your enemy, or ally.
When I said that someone was my enemy, I was actually saying it in sadness, it was not from hate towards them on my part,
and it did not mean I was not loving them or would not love them.
I indeed intended to continue showing that person who wanted to be an enemy of mine love and not repaying evil for evil in hopes of bringing them out of the hateful attitude they carried towards me.
It can be painful when you love someone, yet they make themself your enemy.
Misconception: Once saved, always saved!
Don't fall for this saying that is being chanted by some modern Christians.
This is a teaching of men, it did not come from the Bible, and it has nothing to do with the truth.
Ezekiel 18:24 "But when the righteous man repents from his righteousness and commits evil and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? All of his righteousness that he has done will be forgotten in his trespass that he has trespassed and in his sin that he has sinned, in them shall he die"
Hebrews 10:26 "For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins"
I'm not sure how this teaching got started and what exactly the logic was, but today this teaching helps mislead thousands into thinking they can get away with poor behavior, and they may say that the poor behavior is okay because they're still saved and forgiven.
They should know the truth as quickly as possible, so that they can repent of sin before it's too late, and can fall down in fear before YHWH.
They should realize without anybody having to tell them, that they have been tricked, if they really were being told that they get saved from doing almost nothing, and then after can go off and sin as much as their heart desires, and still be saved in the end and the Father will delight in them.
Malachi 2:17 "You have wearied YHWH with your words. Yet you say, Wherein have we wearied him? When you say, Every one that does evil is good in the sight of YHWH, and he delights in them"
